No. And legislation protects you from being forced to use the printer manufacturer's inkjet cartridges under threat of a voided warranty.

In the early days of inkjet cartridge remanufacturing, printer manufacturers had legitimate concerns because of the poor quality of many remanufactured/refilled inkjet cartridges.

However the industry matured years ago, producing high quality inkjet cartridges with a failure rate comparable to "new" cartridges.
